Cable Question

Thread Starter
Anyone have any experience working with this cable? Saw both for sale on ebay and wondered if anyone had ordered from him before.

Seller says mil spec, silver coated copper, PTFE insulation, double shielded and small - Nominal OD is 2.54mm or 0.100", 23Pf/ft, and rated at 900 volts.

Manufacturer's Description - Linky

Could it be used for speaker cable and interconnects? How about iPod dock?

...How about this for speaker or power cord cable? Seller says - 10 AWG Silver / Copper Teflon Mil M5086/2-10-9 Cable. 10 gage silver plated with solid Teflon and a braid and a clear covering. .189" Nominal OD.

It certainly *looks* well made and high quality, but the looks are certainly not the only thing that matters.

I must say that that is some nice looking wire. I might consider buying from him in the future.

What was the name of the ebayer that you bought it from? If it was who I am thinking of, he's a good guy to deal with.

edit - saw the linky, it wasn't the guy that I was thinking of, but he has decent feedback, so might not be a bad guy to deal with. I was thinking of Navships, but it's all good

the first one look well made, but that coax 75ohms generally use for video cable or audio coaxial, and radio, for high frequency transmitting.

truthfully many people use the word milspec to make it sound good, i bought a milspec claimed cable before and i wanted to trash it.
