You need to put a K1000 on that STAT!

I picked up a pair of those as well. I will be having a shoot out between the F1 and Signature 30 in a week or so.

So it was you who bought 003's K1000 setup. I think you will really dig the F1 with your Abbys.

BTW, what are you using as your pre-amp? The ZD?

Definitely one of the biggest amps I've seen. It just keeps on going back.

I am using the ZD as a pre. The Sig 30 sounds pretty darn nice at the moment and it's small, not hot and off the grid.

Al, sorry for going off topic. Nice Paradigm.

And it's damn heavy too!

No worries at all, the K1K talk is making this thread legal in the head amp forum! I wouldn't want some mean moderator putting me into purgatory over with those speaker threads. Plus, you are still part of Club Uthus since you haven't been foolish enough to sell your ZD. But if you ever get that urge, I had better be your first call, btw.

Congrats back at you on the F1/K1K setup. That amp is going to give your Sig30 a good run -- curious to hear what you think in comparison on both the Abbys and the cans.

[QUOTE=909;2708951]Congrats! Your Moth looks fantastic.

There is something very familiar about it that I just can't put my finger on yet.

Congrats on the amp, Al. Beautiful in the usual Moth Audio old-school way.

Enjoy with the Klipsch's & the AKG's!

Is your amp on of the Positive Ground Paradigm's. It looks just like one except for the logo inside of the cage. ( a plus sign in a circle with a ground sign connected to the bottom) I was just talking to Craig about that one. Thank god I didn't see it on a-gon! If you want to learn about 300b's , run a search over on SET asylum. You might just see some guy named recstar showing photos of his new baby.
Now where's my *#@$% Zana!

Thanks Jimmy, I already am enjoying it a whole lot. The Moth look is something special IMO.

I don't know where your Zana is or where the Positive Ground symbol is, but that is the model of this amp. Craig confirmed its origins and recalls that he rewired this unit to take the pot out of the circuit. Until just moments ago, the "pot" on this particular amp was just an unwired single (not stereo) pot to hold the volume know in place. This evening, my friend and colleague prof.anderson came over with an ALPS Blue Velvet he happened to have and we (he) re-wired that pot into the circuit. It is still dead quiet and now has its own volume control so no preamp is needed. I am very happy and I think the amp feels whole again. Thanks Prof!

I will definitely check out the SET Asylum although I already saw pics of Ryan's beauty!

Wow, just absolutely beautiful!

Congrats, Al. I assume you'll have it in the K1000 room at the meet for all to hear.

Mike, what the ??? You've picked up, at my count, four/five amps since Dec? I'm personally glad for it. The Tampa meet will be sounding sweet.

I was expecting to have the Moth in the K1000 room so you and other attendees can hear it. It makes the Heresys sound so sweet that I am DYING to hear the K1000 on it. DYING.

As for Mike, he is a gear whore plain and simple. You folks all benefit, of course, but there it is.

Now I remember why your amp seemed so familiar

It's almost like double vision

Hey your transformer is huge! (nice aerial shot)

big tubes

Those deja vu shots are so cool 909! The same case is used but mine uses solid state rectification so the rectifier tube socket sits empty. Cool stuff!
