Just curious, as head-fi is definitely a hobby that requires a sizable income. That and as a high school junior, it's interesting to see what's out there.

My money is all from what I saved up from working over the summer. Saved up about $1000, down to about $700 right now.

As a profession, I really like the idea of majoring in Audio Recording Technology.

So where does your money come from? cause we all know where is goes

Eh? I'm a student whose source of income is currently just allowance. I want to work during the hols (next week) but want to take flying lessons more, so we'll see. For the moment it's just will to save over the attraction to food

I used to steal purses from little old ladies, but now I just sell the organs of other Head-Fiers on the black market. I've used up most of Carl's organs already, so I need a new supplier. Anybody interested?

I tend to make my big purchases during the summers off school where I work as a warehouse manager at a pool store. I also moonlight with a recording company and run a small CD duplication and printing business.

Oh, I also use a line of credit for things that may not be fully "educational."

You can have my healthy, barely used appendix.

I'm an overworked, underpaid and exploited NHS employee.

EDIT: Yay I'm a 100+ member. Watch out now, Jahn.

I work at the IT Department at my university. $8.50/hour may not seem like a lot, but when you're working upwards of 20 hours a week and your paychecks clear between $360 and $420 every two weeks, and you really can spend every single dime of it since your food and housing is already paid for . . . suddenly you have a lot of disposable income.

I'd suggest asking the roman-catholic church, 'cause they sure have a lot of pipe organs - whereas my own pipe organ is off limits for you!

Regarding the original topic:

- for a living: employed as hardware editor for a computer magazine

- for money: that will really depend on the sum...
