Really didn't like pavement first time i heard it
tolerable the next time
now pavement (especially this album) is growin on me

i'm really pleased you guys are giving this album a try and enjoying it. i should note i'm talking about the original cd not a reissue. although i also own the slanted & enchanted reissue, and the extra live tracks are great, i have to say i like the sound of the original btc cd better.

It sounds so good on headphones ..... makes me think whether Pavement intended to do that  :)

Old thread. I've always liked this album. It's produced by Mitch Easter, who also produced a lot of Scott Miller's (RIP) stuff (Game Theory, The Loud Family).
