I currently own LCD-2 and AH-D7000. Would the DX1000 be a worthwhile addition or is a lot like Denons?

l have never listened to the AH-D7000, but l owned the LCD-2f. Compared to the later, the DX-1k are not as clear, but have the 'advantage' of being closed-back. Also, the DX-1k's bass is more powerful. lt's the closest experience l have had with a HP resembling a subwoofer, in that the bass (in many tracks) really shake your head. lt's as if you hear the bass at the bottom but, at the same time, it embraces the whole sound... at least, this is how l experience it.

That's actually one of the best descriptions of the DX1K sound I've yet read.

Had the DX1000 for a couple of months and it has slightly better deeper bass than the D7000 but nowhere near as comfy and in the end I sold it and much prefer the Denon's.
