I agree, when I started trading around here I had a hard time because I had no feedback and was not living in the US. I started buying low priced stuff, and started to buy bigger and more expensive stuff. Making good transactions as a seller also helps to improve your feedback.

I like the method where a seller with no feedback ships the item first before receiving pay if the buyer has better feedback/has been active here longer.

Though of course this wouldn't work in the OPs case..
