This is 4.5" x 3" leather front and back with heavy duty elastic sides. It holds a player and amp together nice and snug for casual wear. It also has a belt clip in the back. $6.56...

Front view

Top view with player and XTRA X1 amp. No need to strap them together the elastic sides hold them in the case nicely.

Side view - nice tight fit and they won't slide out. It takes a bit of an effort to get the player and amp out.

Back view of beltclip.

This is an excellent deal for $6.56 I've been carrying my player and amp for the last couple days at work with this.
O_O what leather case is that??? anyone know a link to tat case? been trying to find it for a while xP, looks cool

I'm in New Mexico too! Anyway, I bought a PDA case from PDASKINS.COM for my pocket pc and immediately saw the potential for these things to be used with an amped mp3 player. I recommend people check out their selection (I'd post pics but I'm too lazy).

Why not find someone to sew a belt clip onto your case?
Hi SiBurning - I looked at the pictures that Tyll took and now I see why you need such a large bag to hold all of your gear!

The Waterfield iPod Gear bag I have is this one: http://www.sfbags.com/products/ipodp...dgearpouch.htm I will use it to store all my gear for the Nano when I am traveling, but it isn't something that would work on my belt - it is almost 11 inches wide and even if I sewed a belt loop on it so it would hang vertically, I don't think it would work.

I am leaning towards getting the M5 bag from Maxpedition, even though it is larger than I wanted, at least it wouldn't cramp the cable on the ALO LOD, and I like the fact that I could put my cell phone in there as well. I wish I knew someone who did custom leather work who would make me a bag designed perfectly for my gear!

I've toyed with the idea of making a custom case. I sewed a little bag with belt clip for the lithium batteries which you can see in the last picture. Guess it's not too bad for a first crack, but I have a lot to learn about sewing. Also thinking about how to do something like a custom molded case where there's space for a specific cable setup. There's a place that sells foam blocks that's cut into little cubes--you can pull some off to get a rough foam mold. http://www.caseclub.com/foam_stock1.htm

Very cool, SiBurning. I don't sew very well, either - you should see me trying to do something very simple like sewing on a button.

I did a google search and emailed someone who does custom leather work, just to see if she would be interested in making me a custom portable rig bag. No response yet, but I am hopeful!

We have one of those double cases that Microsoft used to hand out whenever you joined their pocketpc club. It's the same, but has their logo on it... along with some stickers that say "friends don't let friends use Palm." - and I think even the t-shirt says that.

Anyways, according to the specs, it would fit an ipod + hornet, but in reality, not-so-much. Which one of their cases are you using?

i would love a bag that stores my sr71 and iriver h140 side by side, not on top of eachother. does anyone make a belt bag like this?

Proporta has a new gadget bag that might...might do it. www.proporta.com

I was hoping the Timkbuk2 square clear bag would do just that. The Vaja leather pouch might, but it's a pouch so things aren't going to stay put. The Waterfield gear bag is the closest thing so far, but it's either too big (the large), or too small. The small version would work, but not once the Hornet is actually plugged in. Why does no one make just the bag your describing?

If you're looking for a proper bag, the Waterfield small vertigo would do it as well.

was that for me? i have a waterfield "ipod gear" bag and love it, but like the vertigo it is much too large for bealt wear and lacks the clip. the proporta is likewise 10" long and too big. thanks though.

I really think that the only way any of us will get the "perfect" bag is to have it custom made to match our own needs. That's why I have contacted a custom leather worker to design a bag according to my wishes. In the meantime I am going to get the H3 bag from Maxpedition: http://www.maxpedition.com/product/product_h3.htm

It is not perfect, but it will do (I hope) until I receive my "dream bag."

Does anybody have a link to that bag from walmart? I know it's from walmart, obviously, but can anybody find it on the website? My mom's going to walmart tomorrow, so it would be very convienient if I could find it on the website (or, what is the brand of it? I've been searching the site but i can't find it)

Thanks
