Belt clip bag (?) to carry rig around while using it??

I am sure this has been covered a million times, and I did do a search, but...

Once I have all of the components, I will have a Nano and Hornet amp with an ALO line out dock. I already have a Waterfield Gear Bag to hold the amp, Nano, charging dock, extra batteries, etc., etc., when my portable set up is not in use, but I would like to get something that I can clip on my belt to carry around my amp & Nano while I am listening to music.

What do you use to hold your rig while you are actually walking around and using it?

I got this at CompUSA couple of years back:http://www.niteize.com/productdetail...e087cb504433a5.
It has 2 internal compartments to hold an mp3 payer and an amp plus a belt clip.

Did you look at the HeadRoom Mini Bag? It might be a little big for what you need...

I bought a cheap case-it case for $2 IIRC...

It holds a shuffle and a GV5...but there's more than enough room for a Nano in there...

You would think that somewhere there is the perfect bag - never mind the fact that what might be perfect for me might not be perfect for you! - for this application. The Headroom bags are nice, but I don't want to fasten velcro to my amp in order to have it stay securely in the bag; I suppose I could use a velcro strap instead, but... Also. there's no actual opening for the headphone cables, you have to just leave the zipper open - not a terrible problem, but still!! One of the Nite Ize bags might well do; I'll have to see what they have a CompUSA.

Does anyone know of a business that actually makes customized bags?!?

Any othersuggestions?

Has anyone tried out one of The Winkler Crumpler bags: http://www.crumplerbags.com/Cart/index.php?catId=11 ??

The large size looks as if it would work....

Crumpler bags have a good reputation as far as build quality and usefulness is concerned. I took a chance and ordered the Winkler today.

Let me know how it turns out. Think I'm gonna drive to a few crumpler distributors to see if I can find a camera bag. Also I did a ton of research regarding Crumpler / Timbuk2 / Chrome a few months ago when I was looking for a new bag :P

i happen to be wearing a belt rig right now. it's a case-logic minidisc bag, two sections, one padded, the other not. a iriver h140 is in the padded, and a rsa sr-71 amp in the unpadded pocket. despite the bulky components the bag sits well against my leg on my belt with a carabiner.

HA! I own the same bag, totally forgot about it! Used it with my Total Airhead & 1st Gen iPod before I got the 3G iPod & matching Headroom bag. It is not really catering to the needs of *ahem* enthusiast setups (no routing holes, my Black Diamond's RA connectors are a little big for it and make my SM3 sit at an angle). It cannot be closed when using my Turbodock, but I wanted to try the Apple Radio Remote anyway...

Oh, and I remember people giving me strange looks when actually wearing it on my belt

Double-Ha!
I just moved the iPod from the padded to the unpadded pocket as it sits inside its Vaja-case anyway. The unpadded one has more room, so the flap can acutally be closed despite the Turbodock. Sweet! The SM3 is better of in the padded pocket anyway. There is even room for the mess that is my HD-25s excess cable and adaptor! The setup looks... well I guess it's safe to say it is not pretty, but pretty perfect if you just want to bundle your stuff together with a little protection and shove it in your pocket / bag.

i kind of like the old-school flavor. goes well with my old-school rig.

i also have a great waterfield bag, but that is for desktop & backpack use. this caselogic bag even has a little zippered pocket perfect for my ety's!
