I don't know much about these headphones, but the price seems very expensive. The seller is also accepting offers as well.

Here is the auction.

How rare are these?

They are quite rare, but not $2100 worth of rare...

At least IMHO.

I've seen these go for 1800 on FS forums. 2100 is a bit high. :/

WARNINGe - BUYER BEWARE!!!

This is the same seller that I bought the HP-2 with RS-1 drivers from!!

Thread with info is here: http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?t=215985

To briefly sum up the situation, I am aware of at least two other peopel who bought a pair of HP-2s from this seller and never received them. I also bought a pair of HP-2s and did receive them but they had RS-1 drivers in them not HP1000.

Just a warning to anyone considering buying these. Also, the price is quite high for these PS-1s.

PS-1s are John Grados not Joe. That's probably the warranty card from the HP-2s I bought.

Buyer Beware

I just looked through the seller's FB. It seems that he sold a pair of HP1s (BIN was $1,450) and the buyer had this to say:

"BAD SELLER! NEGATIVE TRX. Discovered item FAKE! Not as described No refund"

Here is that auction:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=160067799156

So if anyone is considering making an offer on these, you should be careful.

I'm so sorry to hear that.

You have to be so careful on eBay now a days. And the worst part is that eBay just lets these people continue to sell.

Ebay doesn't care they're making roughly $60 in commission fees after the sale.

The E stands for Evils....at Bay. That's what happens when it comes down to profit...

I can't believe this guy is still allowed to sell.

Message from eBay: Yes, we happily allow sellers to post OEM items when in fact the product is a counterfeit. We call this "buy and hope" selling. We "hope" you "buy" into our strategy.

Ken, how about contacting fleeceBay again with this info and see if you can get this auction taken down?
