These random electric shocks are starting to worry me....

Lately, I've been getting strange elcetric shocks out of nowhere. Mainly to my hands and feet.

It's pretty strange, have anyone heard of something like this before??

unless your house has a HUUUUUGE static feild, its probably yer nervous system going haywire. see a doctor.

Hmm... It started only a couple of days ago, I think I'll give it a few more days before seeing a doc.

Try buying a 1M ohm resistor and use it to discharge your static electricity in a harmless way. Touch anything metallic or connected to ground and go on with life!

I have the same problem when getting out of cars. I get a shock that is quite painful, so I have been thinking this thru for a while now!!! Maybe I can still build something in the shape of a key with a 1M resistor built-in that you can hook to your key chain and discharge yourself any time you need........

You haven't gotten any new clothing in the last few days have you? Shoes maybe, or a synthetic material (nylon) coat? Might be the culpret.

Serving, before you get out of the car, touch something metal before you put your foot on the ground or touch the metal on the door.

are you walking around in wool socks again?

are you wearing your kaiser helmet out in thunderstorms again?

have you been licking 9v batteries again?

were you bitten recently by a radioactive power cord?

if you choose the last option, don't worry, you're just turning into "electro-boy". get started on your costume (don't forget to include headphones).

seriously, in the winter static charge can build up in dry environments, especially if you wear wool socks.

walk around with your keys in your hand. that should mitigate the shocks. otherwise you may want to get a humidifier. boiling a lot of water helps (i drink a lot of de-caf), as does having a vase full of water in the room, or an aquarium. i hope you have surge protectors on all your electrical equipment. I use Intermatic surge protectors which have a "touch me first" pad for static guard.

is it cold where you are, or do you like out west (montana to new mexico)?

use hand lotion.
