Fellow Head-Fier Vorlon1 an I are planning to get together this comming Saturday and check out about 15 portable amps. It happens that I was exchanging emails with Ken of ALO on a separate subject. Well out of the blue I receive this PM from Ken that he is sending some goodies to assist in our evaluation. I was surprised but in no way prepared for what was included in the package. Here are some pics of what I received earlier this week from Ken (please click on the thumbnail to view the full size picture):

1/8" canare male to two (2) 1/8" female:

1/8" male (w/ 1/4" female to male adaptor) to two (2) 1/8" female:

18 gauge Jumbo iPod Cryo:

18 gauge Jumbo Cryo mini to mini and 18 gauge Jumbo iPod Cryo:

All the above in one picture:

Having all this additional toys will make the amp testing more fun although a bit more complex since it will allow for comparison to cables we already have. For example I have an ALO Six Shooter and Vorlon1 has a Cotton mini to mini.

Six Shooter:

Cotton mini to mini (this pic is from borrowed from ALO, I will swap with an actual picture of Vorlon1's):

Now here is the most amazing thing, Ken said we can keep all the cables he sent (except one of the splitters). Man this is to much, so thanks Ken. When you add the excellent work he does with the great sound his products extract from the gear they are attached too what else can you do but buy his excellent gear.

My .02 cents... Ken ROCKS! I can honestly say his workmanship and help is top notch!

Pretty sure those are Canare 1/8" plugs, thought I could be wrong. At least he gave you guys nice 1/8" jack splitters so you can both listen at the same time. =]

ALO love.

That either can be a way of saying "Hello" with a British accent,

...or describe the whole first post in 2 words

man, ken is such a great guy. i can't wait until i have some cash for his cables.

you're a lucky guy; i'm super jealous. (i hate you)

man that is sweet. i need some money for ALO cables

I always found it funny how my music teacher doesn't go with the idea of expensive cables such as ALO, but he has Bose speakers and makes woodwind mouthpieces for over $200.

Just wonder if it is possible for Ken to lend the Multi-array (mini-to-mini) for a review in your meet? I have been looking for the comparison review between Jumbo Cryo (mini to mini) and the Multi-array (mini-to-mini) but with no success. Or have I missed any review?
