SOLD!
I recently bought a Hornet M and iMod (retail $950) for my portable setup, and now it sounds better than my desktop setup (retail $639). The amp isn't even being used, and the DAC is only being used for my Swans, and it's hardly a noticeable difference. The DAC is definitely burned in with a few hundred hours of playtime -- probably no more than 500. I'm posting this as an IC because a friend of mine may buy the stack but he's being a bit indecisive about it. If he doesn't follow through I'd like to have some interests already piqued. I'm looking at $150 for the DAC -- if you buy the amp as well (much preferred), it'll be $300 and I'll throw in a Cardas 6" L mini-mini (retail $14) and a Cardas 1m straight mini-mini (retail $25) for free. I've also posted this in the amp forum with an emphasis on the amp -- I'll give my friend until the end of the month to decide if he'd like to buy them, and if he does, I'll let you know here. If not, it's for sale!
EDIT: Sorry, I should have specified. This is the 2005 module (the amp is the 2005 desktop module). I am the second owner -- the first owner lives down the hall from me in my dorm and it has been owned by the two of us for pretty much one full year. Sorry, but the paperwork has been lost in the shuffle somewhere, and they have never been used with batteries, so there are none inside. Otherwise they are in great condition -- I would say 9/10, maybe 8/10 because there is some dust in a few of the crevices that might take some effort to remove (and tools I don't have in a college dorm). The very few negatives are purely cosmetic. If my friend doesn't go for it, I'll give everyone who sent me a PM a chance in the order of when I was PMed. Thanks for your interest, and I'll keep you all posted!
EDIT2: And, of course, the power supplies are included.
