Headphone Withdrawal

I am in Dallas for a 4 day buying trip for our showrooms. Needless to say, I had to leave the 650s, 701s and Heed back
in NY. I have to admit, I feel a sadness not having my "stuff"
at my beckoned call. It seems like a drug withdrawal (depression, restlessness etc). This is not healthy!

I can understand it (though not to the level of depression). I haven't had my amp for a week or so, my old Denon CDP with a decent headphone out finally kicked the bucket, and running directly out of the iPod just doesn't provide the same experience. *sigh*

depression was a poorly chosen term, not to make light of
a real disorder. life just seems a little emptier without great sound.

I would imagine this would be one of the fantastic applications of Headphones and Headamplifiers, their transportability.
Are you disappointed with your portable set up, and didn't think you you would be? Or am I missing out on why you didn't bring it along?

On occasion (actually, pretty frequently) I enjoy going several days at a time without listening to my IEMs. It makes them all the more enjoyable when I finally do sit down to listen, and it gives my ears a healthy break, too!

totally agreed ^ and when you go back home and strap on your HD650 or your K701, it'll be as if you were listening to it for the first time, or returning home to see er..... hear a loved one : )

Hey Bill, you are right: the portable Xenos is with me and is
great. I just couldn't pack the big cans and leave them to
American Airlines to break in my luggage. I am using Ety6
for the plane and ksc75 OR PX100 in the hotel room. Seem
like toys, good but like toys
