Its easy enough to just change the gain control on the unit too from H, M or L. and adjust for full size cans or your IEMS.

Normally, I would always supplement a DAP with an amp, but one of the things that sets the Vibez apart from any other player I've used (sansa e200 series, ipod nano 1g and 2g, ipod shuffle 1g and 2g, ipod 4g-5.5g, etc...) is that there is ABSOLUTELY NO HISS (with my e500s + ears at least)... the first time I tried it I was in disbelief and thought there must have been something wrong with the connection between my IEMs and the unit so I went ahead and pressed play... needless to say, I immediately regretted that decision

. The only thing the hornet would probably provide is a more expansive soundstage (with the vibez that is), but I'm more than willing to sacrifice that in order to save a few more ounces.
the only thing I did notice is that there is a faint (I stress the word "faint") clicking in the background whenever you would adjust the volume... I think this might have something to do with the "magnetic-wheel-thinga-majig" mechanism that the player uses.
so, in short, Trekstor vibez FTW
