Ha. I figured I'd throw the link up to save everyone 5 seconds. For a pre-orderer like myself, even nonsensical jibber-jabber refreshes the spirit. Some parts of the translation sound like a Zen master with a junior college minor in English trying to tell me something very profound:

Time signal with after together currently the come into the market preparation completes it ends but last count, the low of 30th after, 60th after and 90th after test certainly did to pass by a process with the photograph, to have the faith it did not decide upon a come into the market day.
Wake up, Korean/English literates .

The translation is pretty bad, so I'll leave it up to you to interpret it .
It looks like a Korean Audio Blogger was invited to Westone HQ in Colorado and reported on the E3 PR package, all of which was in English. I did not see prices or dates, just a tease to the Korean market.

The first effect of these breaking news may be that three people put for sale their UM2 right today.

My korean isn't the best but here it is. I'm gonna cut out the useless stuff.

-------------

First 2 paragraphs are just introductoin to the product so i won't bother going over that (3-way, blah blah).

Third paragraph says at the time of the visit, there were 30 different type of samples with different characteristics and they were trying to determine the final model, and the engineers were in the middle of having a discussion to solve the internal assembly problem which they said they'll fix by this week.

As you can see by the picture, the preparation for a market launch is finished but after they complete the final sample they still need to go through a proper testing process 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days later, so they did not comfirm any release date. (Staff estimates that it will be released at the year-end)

.... more about westone 3's cable, comply tips, etc etc.

The sample produced previously had a minor sound quality issue which is the reason why Weston Labs decided not to release the product which shows their commitment to quality.

Any minor issues were removed in this new model and as such, the staffs at Westone Labs are very confident.

blah blah about meeting with CEO.

I hope to be able to bring back these models back to korea and give them to you guys.

-----The End-----

Did it say when the "time of the visit" was? I'm hoping that it was ~90 days ago .

ROFL. I'd like to nominate this quote for best comment in thread.

All questions will be answered when my cookie arrives.

It didn't say exactly but it sounds like it was this week as the OP was still in the US at the time of the post.

Hey Head-Fier's!!

Sorry for the lull in communication on my part. This past July I was offered a position in the Creative Services/Marketing Dept and I jumped on it. Over the past few months we've been looking at figuring out how to handle certain types of communication and I was handed back the forum communities, so I will be around more from this point on.

OK, so I'm sure you are wanting to know the latest on the 3, right ? (yeah lucky guess) Over the past several months we've been running into a few issues with the mechanical assembly. In no way has the configuration (drivers, etc) of the 3 changed from what we began showing people earlier in the year (so for those of you freaking out, stop!). The sound is still the same. There are just issues getting the drivers precisely aligned with the sound tubes and the actual sound bore while sonic welding. They look the same, they fit the same and they will only be released and put into full production when we feel all issues are resolved and the earpiece earns the name Westone on it. We know you demand the best for what you pay for and we want to do our best to provide that.

So what does that mean? it means we feel very confident that the release is close. I had a "pre-production" set over the weekend and we tested and tested it and things were good !
We will contact our dealer network and post information on our site first when an announcement is to be made, then I start hitting up the forums.

Once again we do apologize. We understand the level of frustration that a lot of you are having and we are having quite a bit ourselves. Just please be patient and we're pretty sure you will not be disappointed.

P.S. - She was here in the labs Monday. ;-)

Thanks for the update.

Hi Doug,

By "she" do you mean "frustration"? Or was it a mysterious woman?

Thanks for the update.

We are getting excited again...
