IIRC, the Wolfson DAC used in the 5.5G iPods has a hardware EQ in it. This was (still is?) user activated in RB. This feature is, as far as I know, limited to this specific iPod model.

I'll post for you the Crossfeed values in the BioEQ.rockbox Setup...
It's similar, but has a different feel to the cooperpwc crossfeed values.
I just tried out the "rounder" cooperpwc crossfeed profile as opposed to the taller and smoother BioEQ.rockbox crossfeed profile and I like both sets of values a lot. Playing with rockbox is fun.
Here are the goods:
Sound>Sound Settings>Crossfeed>Direct Gain>-4.5dB
Sound>Sound Settings>Crossfeed>Cross Gain>-5.5dB
Sound>Sound Settings>Crossfeed>High-Frequency Attenuation>-7.5dB
Sound>Sound Settings>Crossfeed>High-Frequency Cutoff>1100 Hz
just tried the settings ^
wow - thanks. these are the best eq settings i've come across so far
