Theta TLC Jitter Buster

Hello peeps,

I just noticed one of these for sale on eBay and was wondering about the sonic value of having one of these things?

I could use a optical>coaxial converter anyway so i'm gonna bid but i'm wondering about the jitter reducing properties of such a unit?

I used to own one, but now use the Monarchy and GW Labs jitter boxes when I need one. The Theta TLC also had an outboard power supply that made an improvement over the stock wall wart. IIRC, there was an article showing how the grounding scheme in the TLC allowed some jitter leakage from the coax input, so that you only got the best jitter suppression from an optical input. Still, it was a good unit that had an audible benefit, and if you're going to be using the optical input, it's every bit as good as the Monarchy.
