HT Setup Questions

Hi guys,

First of all my max limit is around $1500

I have a small room, roughly 4x4 metres which houses xbox360, wii, cabletv and a 42" plasma. Currently I am just using the TV as the sound, but I want to make some sort of small 2 channel setup.

I am after advice on which ways to go in terms of setup. I am thinking :

Speakers: Green Mountain Audio Europas ($1000 new, $500 used)

Amp: Melody SP3 MKII which from all the reviews I read are a great integrated amp.
For ($600)

My concern with my proposed setup is that siknce the Amp only has 2 inputs, I would need to switch cables for it to power the speakers, and if I route the audio directly to the amp, no sound would be coming out of the speakers on the TV - which I think is necessary - I would like to always have the sound coming through the TV but then chose if I want to be blasted away by the europas.

Also this amp doesn't have a remote control for volume. Do you guys this this is the best way to go? Or would an integrated amp/receiver be a better choice? (I just cant get away from the sexy Europa/Melody combination)

Any advice would be great - I just want to get the best sound I can!

By the way - I plan on hooking all this up with Blue Jeans Cable so I don't have to put that much aside for the cable.
