A great mixtape rom Jack Splash.  Plus it's FREE!

My favorite tracks are:

1.  King of the Beats -- an electro-influenced track with an old school break beat

4.  Disko Labyrinth -- an instrumental, Little People meets soul meets hip-hop, kind-of-track.

13.  Love is a Symphony -- a nice laid-back, horn and drum track. (Killer track!)

This album is not for everyone, and like all mixtapes you have to weed through the garbage to find the gems.  But, it's certainly worth downloading.  The quality of the recordings are very good and the tracks are good are real good.

For some newer music I'd Suggest Drake So far gone, Wale Attention deficit, More about Nothing, 11/1/11 best part is besides A.D. they are all free from datpiff. com

Whoever suggested Audible Mainframe just got this blond, rural, nerd interested in hip-hop for the first time.I love poetry, and I always knew hip-hop could be poetry in motion, but I never heard it done as such. The jazz and alt-rock backgrounds make me think more coffee-house than anything else. Aesop Rock seems to hold my interest well too.

Now if only I could learn to like country, I'd be able to say I appreciate all music...Okay, that one might take me some time  devil_face.gif

Ach! I've always wanted to do that, nice to know it's actually worked for once.

More similar artists for your listening pleasure; definitely worth checking out if you like Audible Mainframe.

Favourite song out of all the ones Immortal Technique made.

Lately I've liked Doseone and Sole and the Skyrider Band.

Not really for the general hip hop crowd but I like it.

I've never been a huge Hip hop person, but there are certain artists that I've liked a lot over the years. That being said, I have to throw a pitch in for Blue Scholars. Their most recent album, Cinemetropolis, is the first hip hop album that I have ever gotten "hooked" on in my entire life. I had the album recommended to me by a few friends who are very heavy into the hip hop scene, and it blew me away.

Listening to some of their songs on YouTube. Very nice! Good flow, great lyrics.

Not sooo much about the music (Well, still sounds good), but I believe the best Hip Hop/Rap story teller is Raekwon or maybe Ghostface Killah.

Im personally more of a Raekwon fan, but Method Man is good.

Also, MUST have a look at: Muse & Wu Tang Clan - AbsoWuTion.
