RMA: UK or USA?

Thread Starter
I live in the UK and I intend to return my Shure E4C for repair/replacement, but do not have my receipt.

I know that Shure in the USA will accept returns without proof of purchase, but is it the same in the UK?

Has anybody has dealt with the UK company, and been able to return items without a supporting receipt?

Cheers.
R.

Check the number stamp on the plug of your E4. If it's a 3 number (xyz) stamp, then it was made the xy week of year z. If it's a 4 number (wxyz) stamp, then it was made the wxy day of year z. I don't think you need the receipt if you have a stamp that says you're still within the 2-year warranty period. If you are out of the 2-year warranty period (going by the date stamp on the plug) and you lost your receipt, you can still try, Shure has great CS.
