Headphone Travel Case

I am in the market for a headphone bag that will hold my full size cans my ipod and small amp. I have looked around on the internet and have only found several. The best ones seem to be at headroom.com, but they are so darn expensive. Does anyone know where I could find a headphone specific bag that will accommodate my needs and also cost less money? Thanks!

Try a camera shop, i picked up a decent flight case from Jessops (uk) for about £30, you'll need to cut out the foam inside though (it's designed to be done so) or else use some pre formed foam if it fits.

Considering I will prob switch the kinds of headphones I own I need a case for any kind of headphone. Thanks for the comment. It really helped me decide which case to buy....

You just..get lucky. And find something made for a completely different purpose which happens to be perfect for your gear-lugging needs.

My stuff's in sweet vintage bowling bag.

I use this HP printer case for my AT A-700s. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000I7CGCK/

Works great. There is also a light green one that the female head-fiers might find more appealing.

Are you looking for an all-purpose type of case? Are we talking full-sized cans or like PX-100 sized phones (yes, I know PX100's come with a case).

Oh yeah, should've read your full post. I think headroom has a nice case, if the amp is small enough, it could probably fit between the earpieces.

A few suggestions:

There's a full size padded headphone bag with a zippered front pocket made by Metrophones that you can sometimes find on eBay for under $15. It's has plenty of room for headphones, iPod and a small amp. It has a carrying strap but no shoulder strap. Here's a few pictures:





The other suggestion is to place a "wanted to buy" post in the Cables, Speakers, Tweaks, Accessories For Sale / Trade section asking for someone willing to sell the bag that comes the BeyerDynamic DT880 headphones. While this bag will hold full sized cans it does not have any pockets nor does it have a shoulder strap.

I use an Ape Case camera bag for a carryall. Plenty of pockets, inserts pad loose cargo, shoulder strap & handle. The model I use would be too big for most. I carry 2 ipods, two amps w/ICs & chargers, 4 sets of phones (one full non folding, rest portable), digital camera, cardreader/ipod, wallet, phone, pager, snacks & anything else I need to carry.

I use a small ape case for 4 gen ipod/amp as portable. Low profile.

Looks like a bed for a small dog.
