I have an old magnavox portable, it has separate line out and headphone jack, and the sound was great, and it is backlit, wich is good because i use them in my car through a cassette adapter, well, something is wrong with it, i put a cd in, close the top andpress play, and the cd will spin, then the brakes lock up, then it spins backward, then forwards, then the letter "e" appears on the display and it stops, i smacked it once and it cleared up, now its doing it again and wont clear up, anyone fix it for me and whats the charge?
let me know
thanks

You ever use a soldering iron? There's probably a loose connection somewhere. Unscrew any screw you can see, open it up, and see if you can see anything loose or broken. Solder it back into place.

*Note* Do not take any of what I'm saying too seriously. I mean, I do this to my equipment, but that doesn't mean you should do it to yours. You could very easily break it, and that would be that.
