Did you check the back of the drivers?

I actually just spoke with someone from Grado Labs and they said that if they had been repaired they would have the white cloth. They also said that they would inspect them for me to make sure that the correct drivers are in there.
I decided that it can't hurt to have them looked at so I am overnighting them to Grado to be inspected and the person said they would call me tomorrow to let me know.
I would rather be overly cautious since I spent a lot of money on these and the seller has a sketchy past regarding this headphone.
