Look, just make meaningful posts until you hit 1,500. Getting into the Headphoneus Supremus Forum is worth it. There are discounts with major retailers and you'll get the first shot at the best used gear.

I would have been a supremus within the first 15 days of having this account had i kept posting like i was. I averaged like 80-100 posts a day when I first registered....

Nah, just leave it as is.
At least then members have to contribute to earn the Headphoneus Supremus title, and not just a kid with enough $$ to buy 21 pair of headphones.

so there really are benefits to being a HS?

it is a shame that the spambot goons spoil the title for the genuine posters who make real a contribution to the forums, be it humorous or educational. there are far too many folks with no real positive input to the site posting away saying nothing and strutting around like a dog with two dicks for my liking.

Don´t take Uncle Eriks word for it . That was a really nice one I can see a lot of people starting to put posts in to get into that ranking after that . Should play along with it but I guess I am a bit to nice for that. If there is such a forum section I don´t have access to it

Hm.. Guess I'll do it the old fashioned way then...

No problems though. I just think the title should be awarded to those who have heard a lot of stuff and have enough gear to back up their words. A good example is Skylab, he is plenty worthy of it.

Actually looking back at my words in the previous posts, I was being stupid.

Also there are a few members I believe who have this title and are below the 1,500 post count.

I hit 1500 and I'm still a 1000+ Head-Fier. How come it hasn't changed?

Same here, I have been on this forum for a long time.  Attended the first Canjam, co-organized the first NJ meet I believe (with Canman if he is still around), have met all the regulars here including jude.  I actually listened to the first GS1K with John Grado and jude when it was released.

 

Still not at 1500 posts yet....

 

A little HeadFi trivia, I believe the ORIGINAL post count was a 1000 to reach Headphone Supremeus until it was raised (jude or immtbiker, correct me if I am wrong?).

x2. I really don't think I deserve to have this title. I really am not that experienced and it might cause newbies to actually heed some of my terrible advice. Member's Lounge posts shouldn't count in the actual post count. I think at least 1000 of my posts were posted there.

btw most people think its a joke, but there is a HS subforum, now about the free headphones, that is a lie, right?
