Since everyone's going to ask anyway, I'll pre-empt the questions. I don't have a Tomahawk, but I do have a Xin SuperMacro. Judging from the pictures, the Tomahawk appears shorter but thicker than the SuperMacro.

The Tomahawk is smaller in EVERY physical dimension than the SuperMacro. Trust me, the TH is SMALL. Small but good sounding! Dead quiet. Open and detailed. I need to break it in some. Right now it seems ever to slightly light in the bass, but I am sure that will improve with break-in.

Found some AAAs - hard to come by in my life with rechargable gear. WOW. Nickel Creek is fantastic. Using the Low Gain, I am still only at 9 o'clock on the dial, sound is great. Hesitant to comment at this time, batteries are questionable, and I am still getting used to lossless on the iPod.

This amp is so small.
Will have a smile all day now - T 005 was on my desk this morning.

It's a SMIIIv.6, which at the time had an option for a black case and volume knob and silver face and back plates. Totally stock.

Wow, that is tiny! My SMIIIv.6 dimensions are (and all SMs, regardless of the generation, use the same body):

4.375" Length (including old-style longer volume control and nuts)
3.250" Length (body only)
2.125" Wide (no overhangs from a bezel)
0.969" Tall (no overhangs from bezel)
0.500" Volume knob diameter

Got T018 around noon today. Only have had time to listen to it for 15 min with my Vibes. The Vibes really open up with it. Like ed and sky have said, I'm not going to comment in detail about sound quality until I get it broken in. I can't get over how small it is. My 5G iPod dwarfs it.

My #T021 came at lunch today (California).

I'm checking it out with all of my phones as I type this post. I'm sorry that I won't make any comment on this little gem for the next few weeks, but I can tell you that I'm smiling with my dimble stretched to my ears... Legs tapping... and head bopping like I'm in a trance....

After 12 hours break in, this little amp sounds AWESOME. I'm really kind of shocked. I've been listening to it here at work for about the last 30 mins with mt DT880's (NOT the headphones it was designed for), and man it's really too good to be true for the size.

How are you guys going to go about burning in the little fella?

Just playing music through it! I use closed headphones for burn-in when I am not listening to it so the sound doesn't bother me. Feel kinda bad about the batteries wasting, but oh well.

My guess, 3M.

Clear packaging variant.

No hiss then?
