Touche...my girlfriend definitely does not like sleeping over that often...I guess the bed sucks in a variety of departments

I have the same problem...it's come to the point where I don't schedule morning classes if I can avoid it...I am definitely not a morning person

My wife and I invested in a Tempurpedic mattress/boxspring set last summer and bought a nice hardwood sleighbed. We also invested in buckwheat hull pillows. We were sick of our sleeping conditions. I have a hard enough time sleeping as it is, the bed MUST be tops in order for one to endure 1/3 of their life comfortably. Pay a bunch up front and save big later in life...chiropractor fees alone are worth the mattress.

I'm glad I don't know what a "Duvet" is.

A good mattress is worth every penny. I will always be happy to pay for something that makes me feel great every single time I lay in it.

Also, don't forget that you can haggle mattress prices!

The last one I bought was a little over 2 years ago. It was supposed to cost about $1600 and we got it for $1000.

So why the restraint?
because we are stupid humans, and our silent logic goes something like this: "i'm not spending X dollars on something that i'm not even going to be awake to enjoy"

what is the king of all matress?

i like foam; it's un-american of me, but i don't like ANY bedframes, they just end up sagging or not being flat enough and solid enough for me; so what i do is put a high-density foam mattress right on the ground, and then i got a memory foam mattress topper from overstock; very nice on the cheap; good-ole japanese style on the floor
