Auzentech X-Meridian 7.1

This seems like a nice card for music and it still performs quite well in games. It also comes with EAX 2.0, maybe not as good as the new EAX Advanced HD but the reviewer says the card is still pretty good for gaming and very good for music.

Prices seem to be around 200$

Have anyone used this card yet? I'm asking because I need a new soundcard for my computer.

I will use it for gaming, music and movies. I intend to use optical out to my Z-5500 for movies and an analog out for my headfive and dt990. Will this card be good for all that?

The most important thing is soundquality for music. Would it be better (and cheaper) to get an x-fi for movies and gaming and an external dac for music?

I am new in this hobby and can not judge the soundcard from the specs, but from what I've heard this card is really good.

I have also noticed the x-plosion, but I've read that the analog outs is not as good as this card's. Is it possible to roll one of the opamps on x-plosion to get better sound (and cheaper) for h5 and dt990 than what I get on x-meridian?

Thank for all replies and sorry about my english (not main language).

I'm a bit interested in this card to but I might be able to get a used Juli@ really cheap.
How do you think the digital out on this compare to the one on Juli@? (And don't come with "Juli@ is comparable to the LynxTwo!!!!1111". I already know that )
If I go with the Juli@ I might get an X-Fi later on for gaming.
