My wife (Brownie Lady) and I will be there barring any earthquakes and mudslides. Is Arnold coming?

CAN'T WAIT!

Hello I really would like to come to the meeting. Is there still room for an extra person?? I don't have much to add ( i have a sony v700 and an ipod) but I want to buy a new headphone and your timing is just so perfect. I am probably interested in the proline 750..

Absolutely. We are far from being filled up. And when we ARE close to being filled, we'll be sure to post a notice to let people know that time and space are running out.

Hi guys,

Been in hiatus for a while as I've been traveling a lot for work (total of 6 months last year and counting). Now that my son's a little older, I am able to listen to my speaker-based system more when I'm at home. So my headphone gear just collects dust in the corner. But I've been obssessively visiting the site for the past week or so as I've finally broken down and decided to buy a portable player.

Would love to come as this is in my backyard, but will wait a little bit to make sure that I will actually be in town around that time.

Episiarch, will you (or any other organizers) be posting the details later? Such as whether we will each be assigned a space for our gear? How big the space will be? Whether we will need to pack up at the end of each day? If so, will there be secure storage space at the hotel?

Of course! He'd be an attendee like any other...so he should register as a Head-Fi member, then register for the conference.

Yes, details on how the gear-tables for members will work will be posted later. I'm not handling that; I believe Grahame will be.

I'd like to attend and jump on the Contributing Member thang as well. It's high time for me to pony up! But what is the difference in the Contributing Member prices, though? There are options for $20, $50, $75, and $115...

Thanks!

Announcement: Price Drop for Meet Registration!

The Second Annual International Meet is only THREE MONTHS AWAY! Wow, that seems amazing, but it's true. We have been busy making a lot of plans for this meet to be a tremendous event, and we have made great progress so far.

The whole reason we are charging registration costs up front is to guarantee covering the cost of this much larger International Meet, and to add some perks like pre-printed name badges, specialty rooms (like a K1000 Quiet Comparo Room), noted speakers on audio topics, and much, much more. We also wanted to make sure we could meet our other goals of generating a nice contribution to Head-Fi and creating another carry-over fund to start the Third Annual just like we received from the First Annual (thanks again guys!).

But the good news is that the vendor response has been so strong for the Meet that we think we are going to be able to afford to put on the Meet and still achieve our other financial goals at a LOWER REGISTRATION COST! (Of course, it also doesn't hurt that Sleestack is cutting us a very good deal on his hotel facilities--thanks Slee!) So, what does all this mean to Head-Fi members? You can now register for only $20, or just $10 if you are a student! That is a whole weekend of entertainment and enlightenment for the cost of one or two movie tickets!

It's time to step up and be counted! Get in now while the registration cost is this low because it won't get any lower and it may get higher. This pricing is subject to change back to the original rate if we cannot generate the numbers needed to fund the Meet.

Here are a couple of links to show you what we have in store, and who is already signed up. See you all in April!

List of vendors attending and presenting at the meet.

Click here to see the complete list of everyone registered so far!

For those of you who already registered at the initial pricing, contact me if you want a refund. Otherwise, you will just be helping out that little bit extra and we will put an extra smiley on your name badges!

I'm in!!

Al,

I'm all signed up. After hearing of your experiences at last year's
Meet in NY, I had join in the fun for this years. Can't wait.

Where are all the guys in California. I figured there would be 100 of you signed up by now. The last SoCal meet initially had almost 50 people attending (not sure how many showed up). Last years National was a blast. This one is likely to be even bigger and better.
I don't know. There's no way I'm missing it even though it's a 5 hour drive. That's why I registered early. I didn't want to push it off and then find out it was full and I couldn't register.
Three months, woohoo! It'll be here before you know it folks! To those of you who know you will be attending, please don't delay in signing up for the National Meet. It would be of great help to the organizers who are working very hard to put this together. There are a lot of moving parts, so the sooner you can lock in the registration, the better the event will be.

Registering "early" will also help us lure that many more vendors to the Meet. For those of you who were not at last year's Meet, I think you will be suprised by how much the vendors/manufacturers value our opinions. It is a great opportunity to give some feedback to our favorite gear providers.

Thanks!
