WHAT DO I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS?

Wife asked me what I wanted for Christmas ($200 budget)

I am totally drawing a blank.
The Wife threatened to buy me a tie if I didn't make up my mind soon. (I never wear ties)
I'm about to give up and ask for a gift card, but would rather open packages and be surprised on the 25th.

Any good ideas?

Tell her that you want to be surprised on Christmas.
And don't tell her I suggested it.

Hmm,
A Makita 18v would be nice to replace the wimpy 7v B&D I have now.

Lisa,
I suggested that.
She said, "surprise, no present."

I am in a similar boat, with a similar budget, only it's my folks who are buying. Problem is I had a large and disposable income last year, and there's nothing in that sort of range that I actually want. If I wanted it, I bought it. I know what my next big head-fi related item is, and it sure as hell isn't in that price range!

Chip in some of your own cash and get the Criterion Essentual Art House: 50 Years of Janus Films. Watch one per week till next Christmas.

x2 for cordless drill. Look into prices on DeWalt though, if you aren't already a proud owner of Makita/Milwaukee/Hitachi gear. Apparently their new 24V batteries are AMAZING.

Have her surprise you with a nice night out, dinner a play and a night in a nice hotel. Undoubtedly this would go over your budget, but the two of you could share it together. She could even wrap clues for you to open so that you aren't completely present-less. Just an idea, never hurts to remind yourselves how in love you are.

I asked for a one year subscription to Stereophile, only 12 or 13 bucks.

I have everything else I can think of.
