Iaudio Iaudio6 or Meizu M6 Miniplayer?

I need some help. I can't decide between the Iaudio Iaudio6 or the Meizu M6 Miniplayer. Here's a list of pros and cons that matter to me:

Iaudio6:
- famous of its SQ
- my current player is the Iaudio5 so I am familiar with its sound signature

- harddrive; more prone to shocks (although I have no plan to jog with it)

Meizu M6 Miniplayer
- bigger screen
- a lot slimmer (just 10mm vs 19mm)

- SQ unknown (have me worrying)
- worse radio reception ability (almost every review mentions it)

Similarities:
- Both plays FLAC.
- Both utilize a touch-sensitive control strip.
- Miniplayer will support USB Host as well in a future firmware release.

Anyone has experience with one of them?

actually the 6 has much more output than the 5

I had the 5, and I've listened to the 6 before.

With EQ, the 6 has MUCH more power.

I have owned the iAudio U3, which is very similar to the iAudio 6 if not better.

Currently, I have both meizu m6 and Kenwood HD30GB9 (which will write a review about soon). And the meizu is better than the iAudio U3 I had in terms of SQ, at least to me. However, the HD30GB9 is the best but very expensive.

Don't look at the power output because it doesn't really make any sense and there are several other factors that affect the DAP's power output.

Consider the iaudio D1 as well which was recently released. Its the iaudio 6 without USB-host but with DAB radio and flash. Otherwise exactly the same (but ratet for 30h playback). The U3 is also up to 4GB now, so you should look at that as well if you want flash.

The iaudio 6 is a great player and it not caused me any problems so far. Easy to use with lots of features and great SQ. The radio reception is pretty weak as well though. Before I bought my iA6 I also looked at the M6, and the new fw with USB-host was supposed to be "just around the corner" then as well. And that was in september, so I wouldn't count on USB-host right now if I were you.

Cool... If the M6 is better in SQ than your iAudio U3, then I think it's better than my iAudio 5 too! Good to hear.

In the Chinese forums, some people mention a high noise floor with the bundled earbuds when the volume is set to very low (they say level 2 to 3). While I'm not planning to use the bundled earbuds, I do want to know if it has a high noise floor @@ I plan to buy a set of Senn MX51 in hope that its 64ohms impedance would block off any electonic noise (if any).

The D1 is too expensive for me now... I think it's above $300, while the miniplayer is about $220 so I'm leaning (heavily) towards the miniplayer now...

Just an update that I've just ordered the Meizu Miniplayer!! Can't wait to get it! Unfortunately due to the high volumes of mails at this time of the year I probably won't get it until next year (.. have to send payment by mail and seller has to send it to me from the US).

Only some of you lucky people live in the US I ordered one on Ebay for $196USD shipped to Canada. I haven't found a Canadian store that sells the M6 yet. And speaking of Ebay... these days the final prices of the M6 is getting higher and higher... so looks like more and more people are catching on to this player.

I bought one for $219 but I think it's an ok price. On the Walgreens website it's $180 but then you have to add $5 shipping and tax, so it comes up to around $200 shipped. I got mine at miniplayer.info , so it is coming with a hard plastic case, silicon case, another screen protector and the guy who runs the site seems nice. So I think it was worth it. I am just justifying my purchase to myself.
