Just ordered the hd595s from amazon. Hours of research have payed off. I really hope I'm not disappointed, and that buyer's remorse doesn't set in.

for xmas i'm asking for a fatal1ty and an amp. had to kill one of the birds myself.

I can't see how one can get remorse from the 595s! Easier to drive then other Senns, and pretty well balanced. Should sound great through the X-Fi and amp.

went for 172.95...

also, what's a good amp to drive it. i'm talkign <$200. Maybe I'll make a cmoy, I think that would be more satisfying anyway.

and is an x-fi the way to go? or would i be more happy with a Bluegears b-Enspirer...

I do game quite a bit, but i daresay music over gaming.

I don't think you will be disappointed.

Because I am using the X-Fi, HD 595, H5 combo my self.

They do sound nice, and clear, and much better than my speakers.

i've just heard bad things about creative, (i have a computer geek forum as well) which speaks of creative in a similar fashion as bose is spoken of here. that they have a monopoly on the market, and are good at advertising.

but i'm waiting for the pros' to jump in.

I have not heard 595's but you can find NEW HD600's from a few companies with high ratings for $220 shipped. Im not sure if they are worth the extra $50.00 or not? Maybe somebody that has heard both could comment.
