I just ordered a 5.5G iPod and Id like to start looking into an amp to pair it with. My only real requirement at the moment is size. Id like to be able to put the amp and iPod in my pocket without much hassle. So my question is, what is the thinnest amp out there?

Looks like the upcoming Tomahawk by Ray Samuels is really small. Also the Xin Mini and/or Micro are tiny.

Thinnest are the Supermini IV and the Tomahawk. Smallest the Supermicro IV.

i think the smallest and with the longest battery life reported will have to be the Little Dot Micro+.

And its gotta be the cheapest too! It would be my first amp, so I think the Little Dot Micro might be my choice. It looks great as well.

Then you will DEFINITELY want a LDM+ as it will turn your KSC75 into a $60 pair of headphones!

Yes. And this is generally recognized by most LDM+ and KSC75 users, including me. It will drastically improve the sound of ur 75s. That being said, however, it did not do much for my full-size HD595.

owning both the ldm and the super micro, i think the ldm is good for the ksc75, something i also own, but i think the sm is better overall. the sm is 1/3 the size and a better sounding unit but also 4 times the price. i guess i am saying the ldm is a good starting point but you will be upgrading, just like everyone on this site. happy shopping

From here

Pictures may load (very) slowly.

Minibox CL:
Price: 268 Yuan, or $34 USD!

Minibox E:
Bassboost, and possibly crossover?
Price: 578 Yuan, or $73 USD.

Minibox D:
Small, smaller, smallest. Beyond that there is the Minibox D. Doesn't look like a very advanced amp but it is tiny. I want one.
Price: Don't know.
