Question on Audio-Technica headphone

Is the Audio Technica A1000 better than the A100Ti? I mean is their sound about the same or is there a huge difference? Thanks.

At the point I believe only LTUCCI1924 has an A1000 and used to own an A100Ti. He claims the A1000 is much better but I would wait to hear more than one opinion. I know Kevin, who bought Lou's A100Ti's, has ordered the A1000 so he may be able to give us all a little more insight hopefully next week.

I'd like a four way shootout between the A100ti/1000 and the W100/1000. But I don't think anyone would buy all 4.

Who knows, I may be the first idiot to do so.

The W100 / W1000 are more aimed at jazz and classical from what I could tell from listening to my W100's. They're warm, there IS coloration. Whether it's good or not, I honestly believe it's subjective but I can recommend some CD's where they shine. If I listened to jazz, primarily, I'd keep 'em.

Anyway, I don't think the W100 / W1000 and A1000 are really competitors... I suppose it depends on how you look at it which is strange because I'm a one headphone kind of guy so you would think to ME, they would be competitors. I could see someone owning both an A1000 and a W1000.

The A1000 is supposed to be the upgrade to the A100ti. My A1000's should be here on Monday or Tuesday so, I'll let you guys know.
