I'm selling my Sony HD5 20gb Black version. After many months in combination with a little dot micro I'm moving to a smaller (ampless) player. The little dot micro will probably make a lovely christmas gift, but the HD5 has to go.
The player is in excellent condition (minor marks on the bottom) and is supplied with the usb cable only (no box). The battery is only a month old and is an original Sony brand (replacement from Sony Spare Parts Centre). Software can be provided if necessary (easily found on internet though) and music can be deleted on request.
The HD5 is a prime example of the standard Sony sound, slightly warm and laid back (which pairs nicely with the LDM+). It has a true line-out with no sacrifices (unlike the iaudio X5) selectable in the menu. The size of the HD5 is similar to that of some microdrive players and the full magnesium body feels great in the hand. A quick search shows the overall positive response to the sound and build quality. Sonicstage and Connect software have improved to a state that they are similar to most other music management software and cause no trouble anymore.
The Sony HD5 currently sell on Ebay for £110+, I'm looking for £80 including postage (special delivery in the UK) by a payment method of your choosing. International offers will be considered on an individual basis.
