Huh? pair of 2 different TTVJ "grado flats"?

Hi all, I just got these from ttvj.com and it seems that there are two different pads. One has slits in the foam where the driver is and the other does not.
Is this normal?

The non-slits sounds so much better than the flats with the slits...

you have to burn the pair without slits in for about 3 trillion hours, then the slits (though lulling towards submission) will grow

just kidding..sounds like a simple mix up!!

From what I recall, the older flat pads didn't have slits. Todd had them added to keep the pads from tearing after installing & taking them off repeatedly.
