I am generally not that attached to my equipments. Although I think I will move up the Ayre line sometimes later. Their KISS design principle seem in line with what I did when I was designing my own power amp (school stuff...waaay back).
I think the Vienna Acoustics was driven by some Linn stuff. Like I said, different room, different equipments. what I do have to say is that VA threw up a nice and big sound stage (speakers don't quite disappear though) and is very smooth and easy to listen to.

SF Cremona is very nice indeed. I was actually considering either the Cremona or the Amati instead of the Diva Utopia Be. There is a lot of hype with regards to the Cremona in the audiophile community, so I expected a lot out of it. I went to the audition expecting too much out of the Cremona and ended up disappointed. I still fail to see what all the hype is about even though they are undoubtedly well designed and good sounding speakers

Just FYI, the Cremona were driven by Classic-line Burmester components. The Amati, on the other hand, was absolutely spectacular. The Amati have a very nice glossy look and are physically much larger than the Cremona. They also sounded a whole lot more refined. IMHO, the Amati are in a whole class above the Cremona (well they better sound good because the Amati costs 2.5 times more than the Cremona!) and even better than the Diva Utopia Be. Unfortunately, I couldn't fit the Amati into my budget without having to skimp on the rest of the system.
By BW, you mean B&W right? They make fine, bassy speakers

I had a listen to their 803D and 803S right before my audition of the Cremona/Amati because they were housed in two different listening room of the same speaker dealer. This time, the gear was all Classe (not surprising at all

). The 803S were more balanced, but lacked the magic that the 803D had. The 803S are much smaller in size compared to the 803S and cost a huge bundle less too! I can't remember the diamond tweeter on the 803D being particularly special, but the highs were indeed sparkling clean and not harsh at all. It's too bad I found the bass slightly overwhelming. It might've been the room though. As a result, I didn't want to take the risk so I gave up on the 803D/S.
I also got a short listen of the 800 series bookshelves (can't remember model name, I think it was the 805S or something). Those were pretty darn good.

I have no experience with Vandersteen or Paradigm equipment
