n00b portaPro impressions

First, they sound better than anything i have had. there were these old sony's but i dono where they went.
I did a quick comparason with ipod earphones. OH MAN there horrible (the ipod one lol).

Second, its pulling my hair out (the potraPro's).

Third, since i wear glasses it seems the pressure (even on "light") of the pads are enough to cause fatigue around the area were the glass's "arm" thing "ear clip", what ever, touches the ear. It could be the HEAD pads or the EAR pads, im not exactly sure, but i think its the ear pads.

Fourth, there seems to be a slight imbalance, either you feel like the sound is more on the right, or to the left, happened on my friends PP's too.

Oh and i payed 45usd or (34eu).

Im expecting some KSC-75's from the states this year, just so i can wear them with a helmet(bike).


EDIT:[ OH MAN i pumped these phones up, i.e. vol up. VERY powerful, and clear. real good, and the left right seem to balance out.]

You know, i dont know why they dont sell add ons for koss phones like this. I mean, they have a sure winner...its been on the market over 10 years. Maybe a nice padded cover for the top? Or different colors? I sure they will sell with soo many people that love them.

I know what you mean about the sound though, FANTASTIC sound for the price. I have the ksc-75s which is supposed to be the same driver as the portpros. When i first got them i was amazed...i modded em, even more amazed.

As for the left to right, you sure your not deaf in the right ear? hahaha....jk...might be off a tad i guess....best thing about koss phones...LIFE TIME WARRANTY. 6.95$ for shipping and you will have a new pair. However, if you bought them from a local store recently, you can return them im sure.

As for the adds, i don't under stand why there not advertising, these things are great. Maybe we are the adds. There just so good that people talk, maybe they knew?!

And the left right thing, looks like some other person had a similar issue, but used different resistors for each channel to balance it out. Check DIY cable gallery.

I see adds for the portapros everyday; I see about 4 or 5 people everyday wearing them on the subway etc. There's got to have been some kind of campaign; like buy an ipod or sonyericsson phone and get a portapro for free.
