The standard 15' Grado extension cord ($40) seems to do a pretty good job for me.

I have the Grado (came with my GS-1000) and I also had the Dimarzio Big Red. Both 15'.

I don't use an extension anymore, so I sold the Dimarzio. But it was definitely better than the grado IMO. The grado lost soem high frequency signal, was less dynamic, and MAYBE had weaker bass, that was a little tougher to tell.

I would recommend the Dimarzio very highly. The Grado is good, but this is great.

To be perfectly honest, any kind of extension that long is going to sound like crap, unless you're driving them balanced.

I concur, the dimarzio extension cable is best there is. No loss in signal whatsoever! The grado one makes the sound even darker.
