Sony D-555 for Sale

I am selling my sony D-555 portable cd player. I bought it from a man in Canada, and he didn't mention that the capacitors in the headphone out need to be replaced so that the player reaches adequate volume.

I say this only because the spiritual goal of honest is more important to me than a few extra dollars.

I should have known this to be the case as the player is quite old. My new understanding is that this situation is not unique, and they all need to have replaced caps due to their age.

I can tell you that the line out still sounds amazingly right to my ears. It lacks that hard analogue sound that many PCDPs have.

Some people believe that the sony D-555 is the best portable CD player ever made. It certainly has a nice build quality. And the sound is the best I have ever personally heard.

The player comes with the original leather case and a hefty Koss wall wort.
It is in genuinly excellent condition, and I can see that the person who sold it to me really babied it.

I don't know what it is actually worth, so I am accepting offers.

A person who wants to upgrade a few capacitors can have the best of the best.

We also have a Sony D-Z555 discman for sale, in very good condition.

Including leather case and 9V adaptor.

Rechargeable battery also included, although it's not working anymore..
