Did I buy the censored Danger Doom album?

So I bought The Mouse and the Mask today, went home and started to listen, and found that all the profanies are bleeped. I'm wondering if this is intentional, or if I bought a censored version of the CD?

I work at a radio station, so I thought maybe just our version was censored so that we could play all of the tracks on the air. But, I heard my buddies' version and it's the same. I don't know why they chose to do this.....maybe so all the 16 year old stoners who watch adult swim will be able to buy it?????

Well, after listening to the album in its entirety, I'm leaning toward intentional choice, since the really song to feature any bleeping is the first one. The rest of the album features almost no bleeping whatsoever.

Well a lot of the kids who watch adult swim are not 18 so It's an understandable choice that they would make the record available to the target audience. But yeah, all the albums are censored there isn't an uncensored one.

The album is generally lacking in profanity - aside from that first track. What confuses me, is the album was released by Epitaph records (owned by Brett Gurewitz of Bad Religion fame), which is a label I would have NEVER expected to censor anything.

Bizarre.

Amazing album though. Doom rules.

I think the "censoring" is creative liscense by MF and Danger. It lends a bit of a whimsical feel to the song. I've yet to hear an un"censored" version, so I think thats how they intended it
