A real beginner question...

I'm getting the Creek OBH-11 amp and noticed that it has a letter "R" or "L" next to the RCA-sockets. I know what those mean, but I have a Tech-Link 3,5mm -> 2x RCA cable that doesn't have letters... just color coding. So which one (red or black/white) is left and which one is right?

At moments like this I feel like I know nothing about audio...

The usual convention is red = right and white/black = left.

Red is right... white is left
Same as in a Mains plug: Brown goes to the right of the plug (BR = Brown right) and Blue to the left (BL = Blue left)

No worries though Pace...... if you connect them up in reverse you'll just hear left going to right instead of right going to left..... you wont damage anything!

Again...... The red connection goes to "R" which means right channel and the other one goes to "L" which means left channel.

Easy way to check..... if the soundstage sounds back to front (ie guitar in left ear instead of right ear) swap the connectors over

Red is always right. Whatever color the other one is doesn't matter, as long as you put the red one on the right. Unless you happen to get cables that are two different shades of red, then you are screwed.
