Thanks Guys! I snagged em' for $745.00. If they don't sell in the first hour or so you will see a small drop. But as a rule "you snooze, you lose", as Larry would say.

sorry for sidetracking but two questions:

1. Do the skybeyers cost the same to mod?

2. Does the type of plug matter much? I don't understand how different 1/4 is than a mini with the 1/4 adapter on or vice versa. Most people want a 1/4 plug, correct? Not that it'll be sold or anything but it's better to go with the flow.

Skybeyers are basically recabled dt 880's, that's it. It would cost less to mod since you're only paying for the recable and nothing else. The type of plug doesn't matter.

It's actually a modded new style DT770. Larry prefers the sound of the older DT770/80 though, and he has those in stock.

Are these old? If not i must have got mine, what, about 2/3 week before yours? how comes you have the wooden bits on the cable?

After doing some research it seems like out of the pictures in this thread, a lot of them are like mine or have the wooden extras, maybe 50/50. Is this an option you can choose or is it random? I initially thought Larry did this but not anymore??


and i love my darths so much i didnt use them for 2 weeks so i could get that amazing impact i got when i first listened to them hehe

The wood splitter and wood plug ARE indeed options, and you do pay extra for them, although I sure like them

Yep cable jonction cover and woody splitter are options, I find the splitter worth it because it makes the cable less messier. Larry is not doing anymore the wood cover on the plug!
