For those of you who know DVD players, the Sage/Faroudja DCDi deinterlacer results in some of the best DVD quality picture you can get. The Skyworth DVD-1050P (differentiated from the 1050D by its VGA output support) was the first DVD players to implement this same chip found in many $1000-$2000 DVD players at the time- but at ~$300 street price. Never made available for the US market and now long discontinued, I can personally tell you that the progressive scan picture on this DVD player is comparable to any sub-$700 standard definition DVD player on the market today.
