Priced about $50 on froogle they seem to be cheap.
But are they good?
Please compare them to AKG and Sennheiser sealed phones
Is there any difference between DT100 and DT150?
(:Oh and thanks for all your help

The Beyer commercial line of headphones don't really get much attention on here, but I too would be interested in how these headphones are. Someone on here must know.

I tried the DT150 once, quite a while ago, and that was actually surprisingly good. It isn't a DT770-killer, but still a respectable closed headphone.

It's huge and, if possible, even sturdier than the DT770. Quite comfortable too.

Don't know the differences between the DT100 and DT150, though.

The DT 150 extends more on both ends of the frequency spectrum, appart from that there shouldn't be much difference. I'll get one soon for my studio.

The DT 100 was used a lot in studios in the 80's / early 90's and showed up on some music videos in that time (like Womack & Womack - "Celebrate the world"). According to Beyerdynamic there are two versions: 16 Ohm and 400 Ohm, available in in grey and black housings.

DT 150 Specs:

I think I saw the DT100's in the latest Iron Maiden video when they were in the studio (also on the bonus dvd w/ their new album). Kinda cool to see the Beyers in use by the guys in Maiden...

I didn't see them anywhere on froogle for $50. Got a link to that price?

Having seen DT 150 in Sheryl Crow ft. Kid Rock "Picture"; DT 100 in Eros Ramazotti ft. Cher "Più che puoi", in Lil McClarnon "I Get the Sweetest Feeling"

BTW: I DO have a pair of DT 100 8 ohm grey with coiled cable WK 100.00 (bare end) with 3.5mm jack.

I had DT100 about 20 years ago. Look at any picture of studio engineers at work - almost certain they will be wearing DT100. The are bomb proof with very little sound leakage. They are not attempting to address the needs of headphone hifi listeners.

Update:

Seen them probably on a Metallica video. One engineer had them on. Anyway I'm not sure, it was way long time ago...
They were for 50 pounds (not dollars) on Foogle. Sorry FY wrong I ...

According to the fact they were used in studios they should sound quite good.
Does Beyer have a forum where I one you are likely do get the answer right from their specialists (like the wonderful forum of AKG)?

i am buying the dt100's for the aesthetic beauty, pour moi, these maybe the coolest looking cans ever produced...... i'm just hoping the sound coming out of either side is better than a transistor radio.
