I heard the E5 at the Boston stop of the World of Headphones tour -- a Shure rep came by and gave Tyll a free pair to try out. I listened to them for about half an hour, trying to make them sound good. It's really hard to get a good seal (if you don't do it just right, they can just fall out of your ears) and when you get about the best seal possible, the sound is really quite bad. I can't get into the particulars now since it's been a while since I heard them (what, six months now?). I just remember that they sounded quite bad compared to my beloved Ety ER-4S. Maybe in the same league as the Ety ER-6, which I don't like all that much.
