Btw are ther any alternative pads for the 750's, like leather
If the 650 pads fit 750 pads, then you could give that a try. I think the 650 pads are pleather, whereas 750 pads are velour.

Not recommended, sound will go to hell.

People with a need for isolation should be looking at hfi-700 instead of the proline 750.

The same holds true for interchanging the PL750 and PL2500 earpads. The sound of both suffers terribly.

Mine leak sound as well. A little less noticable when I press the pads together but still there. I also use them on the streets and get weird looks but that's because Limburgers can't deal with things that fall out of "normal" habits.

People looking strange at you on the train..that's just because they think you're an asocial person wearing these big hps in public. The train probably produces more noise than the leakedge of the hp (depending on the volume ofcourse )
Oh and don't worry, you can crack those 750's up real loud and they stay cool

I believe the redesign(re-color) of proline series are already in effect. I checked out the Ultrasone official site, and all the prolines are in blue already. Also, I checked my online vendors, and they seemed to have updated to new blue proline. So, I assume HFI series update will follow shortly.

I have question about Ultrasone's supposedly healthier to ears claim. I happen to have very sensitive ears that my ears hurts after couple hours of headphone listening now days. Especially closed canal phones are painful. I had HD280 once, which is closed, and had to give it away to a friend for this reason although I enjoyed its sounds very much. I may have to give up on headphones, but my love for music still drives me on. And, headphones are much and much cheaper than speakers in comparable sound quality. So, does anyone have similar problem like mine and had a good result using an Ultrasone phones? If indeed, Ultrasone are easier on ears, which product is the best for ears? Not in terms of sound quality, but in terms of easiness on ears.

Maybe you should just look for a warmer sounding headphone?

You mean the .com site? The Prolined were already in blue. Nothing changed in that regard. It's the cup that has become silver instead of white. On the .com site the Prolines still look the same.

Nice find, I missed that!

Seems to apply mainly to the redesigned HFI series. I wonder what the difference will be.

It certainly can't be too much longer, with the holidays just around the corner...

I recently lent my 2500s to Mrarroyo and he has confirmed, in
glowing terms, the benefits for having the headphones recabled (Revelation Audio). It might be something to consider for those seeking more warmth and less metallic highs.
