I have recently installed opa2107ap in my audiotrak prodigy and the sound is noticably better , so I recommend changing op-amps to everyone using this sound card. I bought mine on ebay for 12$ for two pieces.
I just purchased one of these, and I think it sounds fantastic with an AD8066 in the headphone out (but going to try some others in the next week or so). Does anyone know what the op amp mounted by itself is for? I have read it is for mic in, but has anyone verified that?

I emailed support twice and have not received any replies.

Unplug it and see if Mic in still works ;)

I've got the same sound card and I wonder if I should replace the single opamp for stereo output, too. I don't use the other analogue outputs anyway and spending 10 € isn't that much.

 

EDIT: What's the supply voltage for that opamps?

(Some serious thread necromancy here, but I think it is better to have everything about this card together for future reference rather than opening a new post for my question.)

Have anyone tried the internal headphone amplifier with some Beyerdynamic DT770, 880 or 990, 600 ohm version? I'm planning on getting an LD MKII or MKIII amp and a soundcard to use with a DT770 I just purchased, and as I can't afford to buy the soundcard plus the amp at the same time, I don't know if it will be better to buy first the amp and use it some months with integrated sound card, or buy the soundcard first and use its headphone amp until I can get the amp.

Bought the card. Drivers for anything but Windows XP 32 bits are miserably bad and problematic. By the way, if someone got the headphone monitoring on channels 7/8 working on Windows 7, please tell me how.
