Thanks for the suggestion! However, I use a Mac, and it didnt' seems like cdex support macs And one more question is, if i use a 3rd party program to convert the cd to higher bitrate, when i drag it into itunes, it won't modify anything right?

Any mac programs that's similar to that?

I guess you would want to install rockbox in your ipod too. it will play mp3 directly without the need for the software for ipod (I think the name is itune) for conversion. make sure you check to see if rockbox support your ipod before installing
