Redco RRCA?

Anyone ever use these: http://www.redco.com/shopexd.asp?id=301 . They look like quite attractive RCAs for the price... but of course none of that matters if the quality isn't there.

Any comments? I wonder if they are superior to the Neutrik NYS 352?

I have not personally used them but have heard some positive reviews on their quality. I just purchased several NYS 352's and am actually pretty dissappointed - then don't stay on the jack all that well. I have to get out pliers and gently bent the outter part of the connectors in a bit so that they grip the inpout enough to stay on. I think that those Redco RCA's will be the next RCA's that I buy. They're aesthetically pleasing and are supposed to be built pretty well (or at least better than the NYS 352). Hope this helps and sorry to have to be the bearer of bad news with the Neutrik RCA's. I know that many studios use their rca's though (Neutrik) so I'm thinking that it's probably (hopfully) just these bottom line ones that suck.

I've used the Neutriks many times and have never had a problem with them coming loose. They certainly don't fit very tightly, but unless you're putting a lot of stress on them, I don't see why you'd need something tighter. For a buck a piece, they're definately a good deal in my experiance. I would like to see some more feedback on the Redco ones though, they seem to pretty much be rebranded Dayton plugs from their looks.

Anyone else? I was thinking about ordering some of these tonight. Was hoping for an opinion or two more before I pulled the trigger... Otherwise I may just have to be a path finder on this one.

I have built several pairs of Interconnects with them with good results. Their strong point is that they grip like a tongue on cold metal. Their weak point is the ground pole inside is a little flimsy but usuable.

Any good news about Redco RRCA?

linglingl337 has used them and liked them. They are one of many designs that many different companies rebrand for themselves.

So, are they better than Canare F09?

Yep, I love em. Probably all I'll buy for RCAs from now on. They are attractive, easy to use, and well-built. I don't see any reason to pay any more for RCAs unless I'm doing some kind of super-high-end build.

LingLing1337, Thank you for "review". I'd try to get them for my IC.
P.s. maybe you have some photos with them?

Well, I never posted any of the cables that I made with them in the gallery, and I deleted all my PMs where I sent pics of them. I'll try and dig them out though.

This is the only pic I could find on my HDD:

Just like to chime in, as I finally tried them. Haven't built the cable yet, but the construction is solid. Very lightweight, but with just enough weight to not feel cheap. The finish isn't perfect, as the black band around the middle isn't perfectly cut, but I can find no real faults with the plug. I definitely like the split pin, as it works better with some of the jacks I have been using on my cases. The rubber grip is very nice. Overall, a very good value at $2. I still think the Neutrik's look classier with the simple chome, but I like the connector hardware itself better on the RRCA. If only the Neutrik barrel fit the connector on the RRCA...
