So right now I have an Echo Indigo DJ PCMCIA card in my laptop, running to my Headfive, into my K701's, just to give you an idea of the system I'm dealing with. The Echo Indigo DJ has a mini line-out, the Headfive has RCA line-ins. Let me make it clear that this setup sounds fantastic, but of course, I've noticed we Head-Fi'ers always look forward.
My question: Is a Mini -> RCA generally a weak interconnect? Is an RCA -> RCA generally a better interconnect? I'm just trying to look to the future, and thinking that if I upgraded my amp significantly (*cough* Corda Opera, okay so I'm dreaming a bit
), would a mini -> rca interconnect choke my audio? Which means would I have to replace my Echo Indigo DJ?
Thanks for your help, I feel like I am going down forum by forum and learning all this stuff. First headphones, then amps, then computer-as-source... now I'm here to bug you all.
